Talarico, under fire for seemingly walking back some of his support for trans rights, recently promised to “fight for trans kids” and stressed that his pro-trans positions “haven’t changed.”
I’m tired of waffling and equivocation from Dems including Talarico. Whatever he may or may not do or believe, I no longer trust him or many Dems. Dems are becoming the Labour Party right before our eyes and I’m not there for it. Between trans people, the larger LGBTQIA+ community, our allies, families and friends Dems are at risk of alienating voters they desperately need.
I mean, he literally said he wants a return to the framework that existed before the anti-trans craze, where participation was decided at the local level and on a case-by-case basis. I get that you're skeptical given everything that's been going on with Dems, but this is something he's actually been pretty consistent in saying.
