North Carolina state legislator Erin Paré has said she’ll propose what is effectively a ban on trans teachers and promised to make it an ‘election issue.’
AND those of us who have moved abroad need to vote like our brothers' and sisters' lives depend on it - and like the outcome will influence whether we are ever able to come home. Register. Request your ballot as an American temporarily living abroad (with intentions to return). And VOTE!!!
The nonpartisan organization votefromabroad.org has an online process that makes this process simple. (They also offer in-person help if you need it.) If you register not for "absentee voting," but rather for voting as an American living abroad, you are entitled to receive your ballot by email. Some states allow you to cast your vote by email, and others require you to print your ballot and snail-mail it back in.
You would think this performing clowns in state legislatures would have something more useful to do, something that might actually benefit the people in their districts. Sadly, these clowns appear to have nothing better to do than try hard as they can to persecute a very small minority of teachers (and others) doing the job they were trained to do in a manner obviously satisfactory (or there would be a simple way to dismiss for cause). Sadly, there are people in these districts who vote for these legislators because they seem to need someone who is not like them that they can hate.
The comments on the post are ridiculous, as if how a teacher dresses has any effect whatsoever on what they are teaching. Idiots think just because someone is trans or in this case nonbinary, They immediately are teaching kids about the “trans agenda” and that scares them. Completely ignoring the fact that lots of school kids DO NOT CARE at an elementary school level to younger because they aren’t maliciously ignorant yet and many haven’t absorbed ignorant hateful bigoted adults ideology yet.
Some may ask why they’re wearing a skirt, they answer in an age appropriate manner and kids will be like “okay” and move the hell on because it simply does.not.matter.
And I hate the fact that given the current admin and current Supreme Court they can loophole this shit to them and have longstanding president completely removed and reversed just because trans people are involved. Why can’t they just stop thinking about our genitals and mind their own damn business 🤦
Anyways as always appreciate the informational reports and articles, Looks like Erin may have thought people would forget what she’s done in the past. Unfortunately for em the internet is forever.
So they want women scurrying around in dresses and heels, I presume? Is this what they mean? Because we all know what the true reason for this is. Transgender people are their excuse to not “protect” women but to set them back several decades.
I doubt cisgender teachers will stand with us in this political climate, but it would be heartwarming if cis female teachers all came to school for a week wearing frilly prom dresses as an act of protest.
This fall, regardless of what state we live in, we all need to vote as if our lives depended on it… because they do.

I've done it. It's easy. You should do it too.

Women can no longer wear pants
Somehow, I suspect that's part of their ultimate plan.
So they want women scurrying around in dresses and heels, I presume? Is this what they mean? Because we all know what the true reason for this is. Transgender people are their excuse to not “protect” women but to set them back several decades.
State mandated gender role based dress codes. Anti-trans bigots will truly stop at nothing to further their hateful obsession against our community.

Thank you for your research and writing/reporting.
