The Trump administration admits to testing conversion therapy on trans prisoners and implies its policy of forcibly detransitioning trans men in prisons has the aim of preserving their fertility.
It made me cry 3 separate times...even after doing the research, I had to put writing this off for about a week because of just how horrible it was. It's simply beyond egregious.
Thanks for publishing this work. Really horrifying stuff. Prisons, detention centers, and colonies have always been laboratories of oppression, I worry these are signs of what's in store for the general non-incarcerated population.

As far as you can discern, does the forced medical detransition also involve surgical reversal of our gender-affirming surgeries? In other words, will they be butchering our bodies? And for those of us with no gonads left, would there be forced birth-sex HRT?
To my knowledge, for the first one: no. I don't really think they can find a way to justify that. As for the second question: I'm not sure. I wouldn't put it past them to offer forced birth-sex HRT, but I don't think they can force people to accept it.
It seems highly unlikely they will try to reverse surgeries as that will be an expense, and they’re all about money and achieving a bully dominance, sociopathic society, which is what they live in.
This is Nazi treachery. The DSM-5, in particular, is outdated. So, of course they would cite it. The DSM-7 corrected for several issues. It no longer considers any LGTBQ or Trans people to have any sort of metal disorder. They are of course using outdated, and probably suspect research to rationalize their inhumanity. Hell is too good for them.
But the NSPM-7 lists, amongst others (mostly non magats) as possible terrorist groups and while maybe not mentally ill, basically enemies of the regime. In that light, I’m sure any civilized norms (medical too) will be disregarded and punitive actions will be taken against them by these sickos!

I appreciate you wrote this article and after reading this I'm disgusted but not shocked. I knew there had to be an agenda behind his main focus on Transgender Men and Women. After hearing how one black man was treated in prison from sexual harassment, verbally harassment, and etc. from police , guards, and prison mates just because he was Transgender. Texas prison swept it under the rug with a No Comment until a journalist wrote about it and published it . I cried because as a black Transgender man that could happen to me or any man or woman of color and I couldn't fathom that idea. I have had things already happen in the Army and even in the VA where I was told if I told them I was Trans they never would have did that to me. Granted I Transitioned through the VA name change and all . My own rights were swept in under the rug when I asked for a female nurse and was denied 3 times because a male doctor along with a male nurse were intrigued about me . I fought I gathered statements, I reported ,sent email to the news and all no one wanted to hear me out. I spoke to head of VA and was told to get a Sugar mama or Daddy to help with my surgery since I had dysphoria. After dealing with sexual harassment in the army and more why would she say that. Im always upset because im just trying live my life and be happy im sure everyone is but instead im afraid . Afraid since we are now and have been the main focus of someone who was curious about experimenting and trying his hypothesis to see if he can change us into the social norm. All it causes is suffering. Through out centuries there is nothing but suffering, experimenting, murdering people, beating them , trying to tear them down, and etc. For nothing more then someone in power wanting to feel like a king and show that power. As the saying goes"'A king has his reign and then he dies" and the people who have been scorned by others who are afraid just like the people they killed, beating , and etc.There will be no mercy given just retribution. I as a black Transgender man of color will continue to fight and live but if one one breaks this cycle we humans we forever be in this enternal loop.
I feel for you! Let alone for just being born black and all the suppression and racism you have had to face! Just goes to show you how so many people are ignorant, hateful and so stupid! And then to be one of us (hate Trans, like ANATOMICALLY CORRECTED) another persecuted group!

I have a friend who had to flee her country at 18 because of who she is and she thought it would be better here. Unfortunately, wrong timing! We may all have to do that if they remain in power!

In the state where I live i have to go elsewhere to get the surgeries I need because insurance companies want an arm and a leg to not even cover anything. I had to go to the ER doctor once because my suffering was too much and I was mentally scarred from the VA and the doctor I met was so shocked he didnt even know I was Trans he was was shuttering he's like its good you're getting help did you tell the guy who helped you at the store you were trans im like nope why would I. The stigmatism surrounding us is terrible but at the end after his shock wore off he just saw a man getting the help he needed . He saw a human . I dont know why some people get feeling like we need to inform people about our gentails, our bodies, and sex lives . Especially if its a "curious friend" , let's just say he wanted to know of I was an escort . Im not saying this for pity it just sucks how people who are trans get treated this kind of way and people look away because its not them .
Disgusting and repugnant. When these folks are consigned to the dustbin of history, they will be remembered as the monsters they are. At least I hope they will be because this just nauseates me that we can do this to our fellow humans.

Of all the folk I've worked with over the years, whether it be children in SEND provisions or folks in Adult Social Care for LD people, I've yet to meet a single individual capable of 'simply stopping being...' whatever it is causing the suicide risk. ..Were it possible, I'm certain all would gladly do it. It isn't possible. One may as well ask a blind person to stop being blind, or a paraplegic person to stop being unable to walk; whilst on that theme, why not
deny spectacles to those with less than perfect vision in the certainty that they can choose to have ideal sight. Or take away wheelchairs and expect former users to just get in with it, and ambulate free from encumberences...
