A new, dubious HHS study has found that support for ‘gender ideology’ acts as an ‘ideological accelerant’ for political violence. It’s already fueling right-wing claims about ‘transgender violence.’
Is anyone surprised that an Administration that has enthroned Kennedy Jr as a Cabinet member with the healthcare portfolio is pumping out garbage “research” while Trump makes ridiculous claims about vaccines as measles cases rise.
This study was so clearly done in bad faith and with blatantly biased framing. It’s so evident in the questions they chose to ask, for one example. It’s appalling, but even if it makes me upset I’m glad you’ve brought this to my attention, as always. Thank you. I dream of a world where people can be honest and good-faith. This would be a reality I’d be happy to exist in.
Thank you so much for bringing visibility and awareness to this incredibly biased study and the ways the Trump regime might use it to further harm the trans community. I noticed all 5 researchers were men, and I believe they were all white men. This also skews the perspective of the study, I feel!

CDC has made changes to transgender diagnosis codes effective October 1 - replacing personal history of sex reassignment with more specific codes (whether transition is social, medical or surgical or intersex surgery) - they are also adding a detransition code https://ftp.cdc.gov/pub/Health_Statistics/NCHS/Publications/ICD10CM/2027/
