Why Transitics?
Over the past few years, as Republican politicians have leaned further into transphobic rhetoric, it has become much harder to keep up with anti-trans policies. Transitics aims to shine a light on these policies and help you understand what they mean for you and for the trans community as a whole.
So far, Transitics has developed the most up-to-date trans policy tracker out there, found loopholes in many anti-trans policies, forced a response from the State Department over trans people’s passports, discovered Medicaid & ID policies that had gone unnoticed for years, spoken with politicians and journalists, been the first to expose 2 of the 3 states known to be making lists of trans people, played a key role in highlighting the horrific treatment of trans people in prisons, and much more.
For now, I consider this work to be part-time but I keep my finger on the pulse at virtually all times. You can expect 2–3 stories a week covering anything from legislation and policies to political rhetoric and in-depth investigations.
