So the group of people protecting a r*pist and ped* is introducing a law that would label a marginalized group as sexually explicit. This is so vile.

It is high time to eliminate Republicans in Congress from public life.

Here I am, just trying to teach geometry and algebra 2 ... and happen to be trans ...

Well, I hope you can take time out of some geometry to share with the class these corrupt Judges would not have a job without people like us. They are looking to make me incompetent in Colorado in 2026 because I call out police brutality & dig into public records. I would rather support anyone who does not hoard more money than they would ever need. They need to pay the teachers was livable wage. I hear it is $66 and could use someone to help refresh my math after 4 TBIs in 9 months.

These adults are so out of touch with the reality of the youth today it’s pathetic. In many ways they are leading/dragging us into enlightenment.

You can attempt to hide material from them, but it just makes them more curious. They are not fools. They also have this “thing” called the internet. S/

Think back to the just say no to drug debacle. Despite what everyone was saying MJ does not kill anyone. They know it. They know you are lying to them.

That’s what the “kids online safety act” is for. Throwing our existence down the memory hole.

“And who can believe that we’re even speaking about things like this? 15 years ago, if somebody was up here and said that, they’d say, ‘What’s wrong with him?’ But now we have to say it because it’s going on all over—in numerous states—without even telling the parents. But surely we can all agree no state can be allowed to rip children from their parents’ arms and transition them to a new gender against the parents’ will. Who would believe that we’re even talking about this?"

First of all, we already believe that. Second, we already know what's wrong with you.

Such bullshit useless laws this has to stop.

I have a solid fix. Refer to everyone as they/them.

Just ban genders entirely!

If genders are explicit we should just not acknowledge them.

Oh, no? That’s not ok?

Hm. Weird. It is almost as if they’re trying to attack a specific group of people for no reason at all.

There are bedrock biological differences between males and females, i.e., between people who have testicles or ovaries, between people who produce either small reproductive cells or large ones. It has some bearing on medical care, and there various rights that might reasonably be exclusive to one sex or the other.

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2019/feb/28/invisible-women-by-caroline-criado-perez-review

Batshit crazy transwomen and transmen who claim to have changed sex -- a medical and biological impossibility -- just muck up the works. Like this transwoman who was scheduled for a pregnancy test -- something that applies only to human females in case you haven't had that biology lesson yet:

NYTimes: The Transgender Cancer Patient and What [HE] Heard on Tape ... [HE] had been asked to take a pregnancy test, a routine preoperative step for female patients.

I recommend you do some reading about intersex folks, or the many other things besides testicles and ovaries that have to do with gender.

Did you know a person can have a vagina yet naturally have hormones that are more in line with a male’s hormones for example?

The articles you posted are hand-picked news articles.

Maybe read some scientific studies or medical journals

I am most certainly not talking about “gender” which is no more than a bunch of sexually dimorphic personality and behavioural traits. I am talking about sex, a ubquitous phenomenon that characterizes literally millions of species and trillions of organisms including the human species. By definition — by the standard biological definitions in dozens of reputable biological journals, dictionarie, and encyclopedias — to have a sex is to have either testicles (males) or ovaries (females). And by those definitions, many intersex are sexless — as are the prepubescent, menopausees, and transwomen who cut their nuts off. HTH …

I apologize for misinterpreting your post- but also- my post was about gender.

Steersman's avatar

👍 No problemo. 🙂

But Aleksandra's post was about transgenderism, a big part of which is the batshit crazy -- being charitable -- idea that many proponents of that movement espouse that it's possible to change sex. Which is predicated on a willful if not pigheaded refusal to recognize the difference between sex and gender. Which your own comment seemed to partake of -- hence my own comment in response.

Just a lil guy's avatar

My comment was tongue-in-cheek as a response to people getting mad about gender identity

With the purpose of pointing out that the laws they’re imposing are just to discriminate

Aleksandra Vaca's avatar

There is a difference between sex—as scientifically understood—and gender. "Sex" refers to someone's chromosomal composition, whereas "gender" is a word used to describe someone's sense of self and social experiences. I never said otherwise.

Here's what I care about: which one of the two should the law see? The one that can sometimes only be proven via a karyotype test, or the one that other people believe you to be? Why should the government designate "sex" as inherently determinative of someone's behavior and life opportunities? Treating someone differently because of circumstances beyond their control is the real "pigheaded refusal" to understand the nuances within human experience.

It shouldn't matter what my sex is, because in all aspects of my life, I am a woman. It really is just that simple.

One thing that always stands out to me is the speed at which this type of legislation is introduced.

It makes me dread to think about what else Republicans and the anti trans lobby is saving for when they feel the environment is right.

It's the heritage foundation and a bunch of other conservative religious groups. It's a coordinated strategy they've been following.

this was an outlined step in project 2025 and as horrible as it is it's no surprise unfortunately.

Larry Erickson's avatar

This just goes to confirm what I've been saying for a long time: These are mentally disturbed, ethically warped people driven nearly mad by their obsession with sex such that they can't conceive of being transgender as a matter of who a person is but only in terms of how they "do it" and "what's in their pants" and all their attempts at disappearing trans folks are really attempts to repress their hidden, lurid, guilty fantasies.

Kunoichi's avatar

There taking out the Bible also right? Cuz there is a lot of sexual talk in it also 👀

Steersman's avatar

Just thought I'd let you know that transwomen won't ever qualify as women, as adult human females since you generally have to have some ovaries to qualify as such. You have any of those?

But something that President Trump's EO on Restoring Biological Truth to Government emphasized in no uncertain terms:

QUOTE; Whitehouse: (d) “Female” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell.

(e) “Male” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell. UNQUOTE

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal-government/

If there are no large reproductive cells being produced then no female sex category membership cards are issued.

HTH ...

You would think those momzerim would have something more useful to do, such as: releasing all the Epstein files without redactions to protect Trump and Musk and their buddies; finding out whether Trump was lying about destroying Iran‘s capacity to make a bomb before or its capacity to make a bomb three days ago; working on immigration policy reform.
