I am absolutely baffled as to what public good these bans purport to serve. They seem designed just to be cruel. While the bans against gender confirming care for minors has a teensy fig leaf of justification, I can’t understand how adult trans folk are such a threat that governmental policies are effectively trying to eliminate them. I guess I’m just stupid to think the purpose of a government by the people and for the people would be trying to help ALL the people.

There is no fig leaf. These folks say they can not be forced by the government to protect public health with a vaccine or a mask because they have personal rights. They also say that doctors and insurers can be forced to stop providing gender affirming care to adults and minors who are receiving non-surgical care with parental consent. The hypocrisy reeks and the cruelty is the point, just as it is when a pregnant woman is denied access to an abortion when and as she needs it or wants it.

I never want to hear anyone sing "Oklahoma!" ever again.

I think we can just cancel the whole musical forever.

This includes all low-T and menopausal care as well, right? <sarcasm>

Fuck Oklahoma. I am Eastern Shawnee, and my tribal headquarters are in Oklahoma. I had thought at one time, that I would move there and volunteer to work for them after I retired, but I just can’t stand to be around those people.

Oklahoma is acting awful big for a state that might go up in flames if a balloon rubs against a wool coat too vigorously.
