The Trump administration now claims that signs of being transgender may include: renewing your passport early for any reason—even marriage—forgetting to fill out part of the form, and changing names.
There is no low too low for the scum in this Administration. Our tax dollars are being pissed down a rat hole to satisfy some prurient and bigoted bullshit chugging bully boys while making simple transactions more difficult for lots of people including but not limited to trans folk.
The surveillance state is nothing new, but this good reporting at least sheds some light on how nefarious it is. Hopefully it'll be legally challenged, for what it's worth
This is exactly why I got a passport shortly before the 2024 election because I knew that if he won, he'd pull something like this.
